Scientific Games, IGT Stocks Boost AGEM Index

The stock index published by the Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers posted its 26 year-over-year monthly increase for November, thanks mainly to double-digit increases in the share prices of the organization’s two largest members—Scientific Games and International Game Technology.

Scientific Game saw its stock price rise 10.6 percent on the NASDAQ in November, with a close of $52.65. The company’s stock value has increased almost 257 percent in the last 12 months, capping a turnaround following the arrival of Kevin Sheehan as CEO.

IGT saw its stock price increase almost 17 percent on the New York Stock Exchange in November.

Other suppliers have seen similar surges over the past 12 months. Everi Holdings has seen its tock price soar more than 277 percent on the NYSE.

The AGEM Index, compiled by Las Vegas-based financial consultant Applied Analysis, charts monthly stock prices of 12 global gaming suppliers. In November, seven of the 12 companies saw increases over October.
