Gaming supplier Scientific Games’ digital arm has always had ample content for iGaming operators using its OpenGaming digital content library. But the inclusion of casino games, from Hot Shot to Monopoly to Let It Ride, can always use augmentation, with games that will broaden the audience from solely hardcore traditional slot enthusiasts.

That’s exactly what the company has done with its recently announced partnership with 4ThePlayer.com, a creator and innovator of mobile-first gambling games.

While SG Digital has achieved success with digital casino games offered on OpenGaming, 4ThePlayer offers something completely different—like 1 Left Alive, a zombie-apocalypse shooting game wrapped inside a ways-to-win video slot, with expanding reels offering from 1,024 ways to a whopping 32,768 ways to win. The feature is called Plus+Ways, and the expanded screen is known as the Big Reel Portrait Mode.

“4ThePlayer(4TP) brings true slot innovation to OpenGaming,” Rob Procter, studio director of SG Digital, told GGB News. “They have vast industry experience, specifically in game development. Their launch of 1 Left Alive on the OpenGaming platform shows that they have the ability to combine stunning front-end artwork with innovative mechanics that bring iGaming to the next level. It’s a great fit for our platform, and we think customers and players will really respond to their content.”

The 1 Left Alive game, says Procter, “is a great new game oozing with potential. With the polished front-end graphics and high-quality soundtrack, it was built with a top-tier player experience in mind. The game brings a new feature in Plus+Ways to OpenGaming. This feature keeps the paylines simple for the player while giving them big win potential.”

The Big Reel Portrait Mode brings the visuals of a land-based slot game to the mobile space, Procter added. The Big Reel Portrait Mode is undoubtedly something to shout about,” he said, “as it demonstrates true innovation in the way players will interact with the game in portrait mode. That being said, the game is still available in landscape mode on mobile, and looks fantastic on a desktop display. We’re focusing on the successful launch of this new exciting game and features of this strong digital offering we’re launching on our platform.”

The company launched 4ThePlayer.com games on the SG OpenGaming network December 4 with the release of 1 Left Alive, initially an exclusive to the brands of global sports betting and gaming leader GVC Holdings. The game launched network-wide on December 11.

Launched in October, the OpenGaming ecosystem features content aggregation technology, a robust player account management platform, and more than 2,500 games from a global network of in-house and third-party game studios like 4TP.

“OpenGaming is our end-to-end digital gaming solution that includes technologies and services to bring iGaming to the next level for customers while providing tools for responsible gaming,” Procter said. “The product suite includes our Open Gaming System content aggregation platform, which collects thousands of games—from us and from third-party studios like 4TP—and offers them to operators via one single integration.

“It also includes the Open Platform System, which gives operators a full suite of back-end technologies to help manage their online casinos, such as player account management and a bevy of other services.”
