Scientific Games has extended its long-term partnership with Loto-Québec, the organization that oversees lottery and gaming in the Canadian province.
Under the deal, struck after a competitive procurement process, Scientific Games will provide a new central gaming system. This will be delivered through its Momentum ecosystem.
Momentum is an integrated framework of technologies, applications and services designed to optimize lottery performance. This will replace a corporation-managed legacy system and cover both retail and digital operations.
In Canada, Scientific Games supports Loto-Québec and other provincial lotteries from its operations in Montréal.
Operational Efficiency for Loto-Québec
John Schulz, president, Americas and global instant products for Scientific Games, noted the two parties have been working together for more than 50 years.
“Our advanced system is engineered for the future, delivering the performance, security and operational efficiencies that will support Loto-Québec’s sales and sustainability,” he said.
Marc-André Doyon, regional vice president of operations for Scientific Games, added: “Our Montréal facility has a long history of collaboration with Loto-Québec. Our employees in Montréal are ready to take on this new opportunity.”
Scientific Games provides its central gaming systems technology to other lotteries in North America. These include the Ohio Lottery and New Mexico Lottery. It also recently struck a deal with Lotto New Zealand.
