Scientific Games’ Tournaments Express in France, Portugal

Scientific Games completed its first two European installations of its Tournaments Express instant-tournament system at casinos in France and Portugal.

Following its success in the United States, Scientific Games Corporation has installed its first two Tournaments Express systems in the European market at Pasino Saint Amand les Eaux in Saint-Amand-les-Eaux, France and Casino Espinho in Espinho, Portugal.

These are the first of four installations scheduled in Europe over the next few months. Upcoming launch locations include Pasino Le Lyon Vert and Pasino La Grande Motte in France.

“We are very excited to be the first installation of this product in the European market,” said Pasino Saint Amand les Eaux Director Karen Pamart. “Tournaments Express has already seen great success in the United States, and to be able to introduce it into a mature market such as France demonstrates the versatility and value it can add to a casino. We look forward to sharing the many benefits Tournaments Express can bring to our slot players.”

Pasino Saint Amand les Eaux is currently using Tournaments Express on a bank of eight WMS games to engage their players through instant tournaments that offer the potential for players to take home large tournament prizes. Taking advantage of Tournaments Express’ flexibility, Pasino Saint Amand les Eaux plans to use a new slot theme each month for tournament play, including popular titles such as Hot Shot, Quick Hit and poker themes.

With Tournaments Express, casinos can turn just about any iVIEW Display Manager-equipped slot machine on their floor—regardless of manufacturer or casino management system—into a tournament machine within minutes. As soon as the tournament ends, games can easily be switched back into revenue-generating mode.

Using a PC or tablet, Tournaments Express enables casinos to quickly change more than 100 different slot cabinets from more than 20 different manufacturers into tournament games. Tournament types include free play, invite-only, buy-in, multi-round, group-start sessions and more.
