SciGames Slots Score With Lottery Players

The slots and systems giant is hitting it big with lottery versions of its popular Jackpot Party and Gold Fish slots. Jackpot Party has found a strong following as an instant game in New York. In Ohio, SciGames says Gold Fish is outperforming every $2 instant game in the state.

Two of Scientific Games’ popular slot brands—Jackpot Party and Gold Fish—are making a splash among lottery players in New York and Ohio.

Jackpot Party, which also features as an interactive offering, debuted as a $5 instant game for the New York Lottery in February and has established a strong following, the company said.

Jackpot Party features a bonus game on the back of the ticket with five additional chances at instant cash prizes. Players also can scan a QR code on the ticket with their phone to go to a Jackpot Party second-chance promotion for big prizes on the New York Lottery Sweepstakes web site. They can also download and participate in a free-play version of the game directly from the site.

The multi-channel Gold Fish is scoring similarly well with Ohio Lottery players since its debut in March as a $2 instant. In its first eight weeks, Gold Fish performed better than all other $2 instants offered in the state in last fiscal year, SciGames said.

Like Jackpot Party, Gold Fish connects the lottery experience to a second-chance game with social-sharing components. Players enter non-winning tickets online for the chance to win $20,000 prizes.

The interactive game takes players through various levels of challenges and achievements by “feeding” their virtual pet “gold fish” and creating a healthy undersea environment. Social log-in and leaderboards allow players to compete and post their scores and wins, deepening the game experience.
