Scudiero Takes Helm at Diamond Jacks

Tony Scudiero is the new vice president and general manager of the Diamond Jacks Casino & Hotel in Vicksburg, Mississippi, and will oversee its transformation into the WaterView Casino and Hotel. Scudiero previously occupied the same positions at the St. Jo Frontier Casino in St. Joseph, Missouri, which now seeks Scudiero’s replacement.

Foundation Gaming Group appointed Tony Scudiero as vice president and general manager of Diamond Jacks Casino & Hotel in Vicksburg, Mississippi.

Scudiero has more than 25 years’ experience in the gaming industry and will oversee the casino’s transformation into the WaterView Casino and Hotel.

“Tony is joining our team to lead the transformation of our Vicksburg property,” Foundation Gaming Co-CEO Jeff Dahl said.

“He will become the champion of our new WaterView brand and lead the elevation of our customer experience by getting our team to leverage the updated gaming environment, including all of the new games, enhanced dining choices, and full calendar of exciting events and entertainment.”

Scudiero most recently was vice president and general manager of the St. Jo Frontier Casino in Saint Joseph, Missouri.

He held senior management positions at several Isle of Capri locations, including vice president and general manager of the Natchez, Mississippi property.

“Tony also has a great leadership style which is built around his outgoing personality, which has made him well-liked and respected by both his teams and his customers,” Foundation Gaming Co-CEO Greg Guida said.

“We have worked with him in the past and know that his considerable experience operating in highly competitive regional markets will allow him to be successful in Vicksburg.”

Scudiero began his career in the gaming industry as a poker dealer.

His departure from the St. Jo Frontier Casino has its parent company searching for a new general manager.

Las Vegas-based Affinity Gaming operates the St. Jo Frontier and appointed Michael Tamburelli as its interim manager. Tamburelli has been the casino’s director of operations.

The change in leadership at the St. Jo Frontier might prove problematic, as it seeks permission to relocate the casino to downtown St. Joseph, which is located along the Missouri River and where infamous western outlaw Jesse James once lived and died.
