Second Sports Book Opens in Valley Forge

Greenwood Gaming has opened the sports book at its Valley Forge Turf Club off-track betting parlor, adding a second sports book in the immediate area just after Valley Forge Casino opened its book.

Greenwood Gaming, owner of the successful Parx casino in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, has opened its third retail sport book, at its Valley Forge Turf Club (VFTC) off-track betting facility in Oaks, Pennsylvania. It is the second sports book to launch at an OTB parlor in Pennsylvania, and the second retail book in the Valley Forge area opening the same week as the book at Boyd Gaming’s Valley Forge Casino Resort in nearby King of Prussia.

Valley Forge Turf Club features 26,000 square feet of wagering space, a restaurant with seating for more than 100 people, and three other food venues. The new book offers the option of wagering through either live tellers or kiosks. There are six tellers and 14 kiosks accepting bets.

Once the sportsbook opens full-time, players will be able to place bets every day of the week. VFTC accepts a range of bets, including point spreads, money lines, totals, propositions, parlays and teasers. Bets will be accepted on professional and college football and basketball, pro baseball, NHL hockey, boxing, MMA, golf and tennis.
