Japan-based gaming machine manufacturer Sega Sammy has a new chairman and CEO in Scott Winzeler, former head of a group subsidiary, Sega Sammy Creation USA. Winzeler took the lead on April 1.
In a statement, Sega Sammy said, “Scott’s experience in the gaming industry and in Japanese business will be a major asset as we move forward in expanding our global market. We are very pleased to have him on board and look forward to the direction of the company under his leadership.”
Winzeler was named to his current position in charge of SSC’s North American business in April 2019 and will now look over SSC’s global operations. He has over 25 years of experience in the gaming industry and has held multiple executive positions such as Managing Director of IGT Asia and IGT Japan.
Winzeler said, “This change in organizational structure will allow us to more efficiently communicate the needs of our casino operator customers with the development team and accelerate our product development efforts.”
