Seibert Leaving Missouri Gaming Commission

William “Bill” Seibert Jr. announced he will retire in March from the Missouri Gaming Commission, where he has served as executive director since 2010. He previously worked for 30 years at the Missouri State Highway Patrol and also worked at the Missouri Board of Probation and Parole and the O’Fallon Police Department.

Missouri Gaming Commission Executive Director William “Bill” Seibert Jr. announced he will retire in March after completing his 4-year term. “It has been a great honor serving the citizens of Missouri and working alongside the great service-minded employees of Missouri,” he said.

Seibert joined the MGC in 2010 after a 30-year career with the Missouri State Highway Patrol. He also worked at the Missouri Board of Probation and Parole and the O’Fallon Police Department.

The state is advertising for Seibert’s replacement, who will be selected by the 5-member gaming commission; members are appointed by the governor. The position will pay $101,000-$118,000. It requires knowledge of gaming-related laws and regulations and state government operations. “This position must be able to work closely with other state organizations; state, local and federal law enforcement; numerous regulatory jurisdictions; and the gaming industry,” according to the job description.
