For the second straight year, Seminole Hard Rock has been featured on the list of U.S. Best Managed Companies, which is an annual award compiled by the Wall Street Journal and Deloitte Private.

The list is determined by a panel of judges, and applicants are reviewed based on multiple criteria, mostly centered around the performance and diversity of management staff.

Seminole Hard Rock falls under the umbrella of Hard Rock International (HRI), which is owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida–in total, there are six Seminole-run casinos throughout the state.

In a statement, HRI chairman and Seminole Gaming CEO Jim Allen said that the recognition is “a true reflection of our passionate team members who maintain and uphold brand standard excellence across all of our properties, at every level of our business.”

“Love All-Serve All, Take Time To Be Kind, Save The Planet, and All Is One,” said Allen. “There’s nothing more gratifying than seeing these mottos infused in everything we do as a company, and to be recognized for these efforts as one of the top private companies in the country.”

Tribal gaming has expanded to nearly all areas of the country, but the Seminoles were the first to foray into the gaming industry all the way back in 1979. They eventually adopted Hard Rock as their official brand in 2004, and in 2007, the tribe acquired HRI outright, which was a groundbreaking transaction in the tribal gaming sector.
