Seminole Hard Rock Tamp Names New President

Joe Lupo has been named president at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tampa. Lupo worked for Boyd Gaming for 13 years, most recently as senior vice president of operations at Borgata Hotel Casino in Atlantic City. He also was race and sports book director at the Stardust Casino in Las Vegas.

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tampa, Florida has named Joe Lupo as president, responsible for all operations and management of the largest entertainment complex in Tampa Bay, featuring one of the nation’s largest casinos. Lupo succeeds John Fontana, who has been named president of the newly created Seminole Hard Rock Support Services.

Previously Lupo worked for Boyd Gaming since 1986, holding a variety of positions including, most recently, senior vice president of operations, overseeing gaming, marketing and entertainment at Atlantic City’s Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa. Lupo also worked at other Boyd Gaming properties in Laughlin, Nevada and in Las Vegas, where he was the director of the race and sports book at the former Stardust Hotel & Casino.

A native of Stow, Ohio, Lupo is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
