Trevor Martin, onetime senior advisor for Galaxy Entertainment Group, retired in 2018 after more than a decade with the Macau casino operator, the company recently confirmed to GGRAsia.
A company representative informed the news outlet that Martin retired “to devote more quality time with his family, and pursue his life goals and interests. He remained as senior advisor of the company until December 2018.”
Martin joined Galaxy in November 2007, less than a year after the group opened its first Macau casino property, the StarWorld Hotel.
Prior to his role as a senior advisor, Martin was director for human resources and administration. He was described on the Galaxy website as having “over 30 years of solid experience in human resources, staff training and development.” Galaxy called him “one of the early core members of the Cotai leadership team.”
“He has since supported Galaxy Entertainment through some of its most challenging years and also two rounds of major openings: Galaxy Macau Phase I in 2011, and Galaxy Macau Phase II and Broadway Macau in 2015,” the representative said. “His experience and leadership were invaluable towards helping Galaxy Entertainment develop core management and human resources practices that have underpinned our success over the years.”
The company thanked Martin for his “outstanding contributions to the Galaxy Entertainment Group success story.”
