SG Applies for Macau Trademarks, Inks Snoqualmie Deal

SG Gaming files for five trademarks in the Macau market as its parent company seals a major game and system deal with the Snoqualmie Casino in Washington state.

SG Gaming, Inc., the subsidiary of Scientific Games that sells Bally-branded gaming products in Asian markets, has filed to have five of its new slot brands trademarked in Macau, according to a report on the Inside Asian Gaming website.

The website cited the Official Gazette of the Macao SAR in reporting that SG Gaming (the report identified it as Bally Gaming, Inc., the name of one of its legacy companies) “is seeking trademark protection for computer software and firmware products including dedicated gaming consoles, video slot machines, reel slot machines and video lottery terminals.”

The five brand names are Girl’s Best Friend, Bright lights, Silk Moon, Top up and a Chinese-language symbol, ???.

Meanwhile, parent company Scientific Games Corporation announced a major contract for games and systems with the Seattle-area Snoqualmie Casino. Under the three-year agreement, the casino will purchase up to 800 Scientific games slot machines and replace 20 table games with newer units.

Scientific Games also will install its TableView and SDS management systems along with its CMP player loyalty advance. The property, which is owned by the federally-recognized Snoqualmie Tribe, will use the systems to analyze operational and customer data. The casino also will utilize the system’s Elite Bonusing Suite marketing solution, with iView and iView Display Manager.

The system also includes Scientific Games’ Servizio and Beverage Ordering Service System (BOSS) innovations to enhance its on-the-floor services to customers.

“Scientific Games is thrilled that the Snoqualmie Casino has chosen our systems to manage its first-class gaming facility,” said Cath Burns, senior vice president of gaming systems for Scientific Games. “We look forward to establishing a long and successful partnership with the Snoqualmie Casino, providing quality products and services into the future.”
