SG Gaming, the U.K. arm of supplier Scientific Games, announced the launch of the Riviera cabinet in British casinos. According to the company, the cabinet draws inspiration from Scientific Games’ global casino offerings but was developed in the U.K., specifically for U.K. casinos and players.
“With LED lighting, an impressive high-gloss HD screen, and an interactive Vdeck button panel, the Riviera cabinet has been designed for maximum impact on the modern casino floor,” the company said in a statement. “Players can enjoy proven B1 content, which draws on SG Gaming’s existing library of popular titles, developed under the Barcrest, Bally, and WMS gaming brands and tailored to the casino audience.” Each game has a maximum jackpot of £10,000 and a maximum £5 stake.
Operating on a server-based gaming platform, the Riviera boasts a range of performance- enhancing features designed to optimize player experience. These include on-terminal promotional functionality such as tournaments and live venue monitoring for operational efficiency, along with TITO technology.
Phil Horne, CEO of SG Gaming, said, “As a business, we spotted an opportunity to use our vast experience in the gaming industry to expand our U.K. casino offering with our first bespoke B1 platform and content solution.
“Our expert team here in the U.K. has used their experience and knowledge of design and technology in developing the Riviera cabinet, and we were delighted that it was well received at ICE Totally Gaming, where it took pride of place on our stand. The launch has helped us to further an existing partnership with Aspers Casino and opens up a new category for SG Gaming to operate within the UK casino sector.”
With the new cabinet and content combined, SG Gaming is looking to make its mark on the U.K. casino sector and deliver its content to a larger audience.
The new Riviera cabinets which operate a full suite of B1 content, have now been rolled out at Aspers Stratford City and 12 Grosvenor Casinos throughout the U.K. SG Gaming’s B1 offering will enable the venues to provide their customers with a new innovative cabinet and well-known popular titles from online and other land-based retail environments, whilst also benefiting from SG Gaming’s data analytics and account management support.
“Our in-house content development team have been working hard to tailor our successful retail titles to the U.K. casino sector,” said Rick Mountney, U.K. director of content development at SG Gaming.
“The new Riviera cabinets have a variety of B1 titles available, including two from the Rainbow Riches series—Rainbow Riches Pots of Gold and Rainbow Riches Pick and Mix and player-popular titles Black Knight and Spartacus. A full games development schedule of further content is planned for 2017 as we continue to innovate our game title offering.”
