The Shambala hotel and entertainment complex, the second resort in the Primorye gambling zone near Vladivostok, Russia, is expected to open this summer, according to the Far East Investment and Export Agency.
Another casino, Naga Vladivostok, is also expected to open this year. They will be the second and third casinos in the special economic zone after Tigre de Cristal, which opened in late 2015. The zone eventually will have a cluster of similar resorts.
“The opening of the first phase of the Shambhala in the Primorye integrated entertainment resort area (IRKZ) is expected this summer,” said a statement from the investor. “The official opening will take place in the second half of 2020. At the first stage, the company will recruit up to 500 staff members. The construction work has been fully completed at the facility, and finishing is underway.”
By 2022, Shambhala will also include a hotel, conference and banquet halls, a sports complex, spa and shopping areas.
