Less emphasis on junkets
A reported 99.99 percent of Neptune Group shareholders approved a proposal to change the name of the junket investor to Rich Goldman Holdings Ltd.
Neptune Group said the current name “does not reflect the diversity of businesses conducted by the group.
“While the group is still engaged in its gaming business by receiving profit streams from junket operators, the group now focuses more on its money lending business and management and operation of hotel business,” the company stated. “The board considers that the proposed change of company name will provide the company with a more appropriate corporate identification and image that would better reflect or align with the business nature and future development of the group.”
Neptune Group recently lost two Macau junket partners: Hou Wan Entertainment Ltd. and Hao Cai Sociedade Unipessoal Ltd. both had their contracts with Venetian Macao Ltd. terminated.
