Kevin Sheehan has resigned from the board of directors of gaming supplier Scientific Games Corporation, four months after the board voted him out as the company’s chief executive officer.
Sheehan, who was new to the gaming industry when he took over Scientific games, was brought in as the company was reorganizing the company after a series of mergers that combined legacy companies Bally Technologies, WMS Faming and SHFL Entertainment.
During his tenure the stock soared from around $8 to a high of $62.80 before slipping to $53.70 on May 2, the day SGMS announced Barry Cottle would replace Sheehan. The stock has continued to slide, closing at $26.40 Tuesday, 6.02 percent over Monday.
Viet Dinh also resigned from the board.
