Shinhwa a Model for Philippines Resort

Duterte said to approve

Landing International Development is pitching a casino resort in the Philippines with Jeju Shinhwa World South Korea as its model, according to Chairman and Executive Director Yang Zhihui.

Yang said he met last year with Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte about development of a “theme park integrated resort” in the country, and Duterte responded favorably to the diverse lineup.

Jeju Shinhwa World is opening in stages in Incheon, South Korea. At build-out, the 2.5 million-square-meter (26.9 million-square-foot) complex will include an outdoor entertainment zone called Shinhwa Water Park; 538 hotel rooms; a convention center; a shopping district; a K-pop themed zone called YG Republique; a Four Seasons Resort and Spa with about 200 guest rooms; and a theme park called Lionsgate Movie World.

The gaming hall, Jeju Shinhwa World Landing Casino, opened February 25 at the Jeju Shinhwa World Marriott Resort.
