Theme park coming in 2020

A Shinhwa Resort-branded hotel at Jeju Shinhwa World will likely open sometime in 2019, not the third quarter of 2018, as expected. A source associated with operator Landing International told GGRAsia the hotel facility still must receive occupancy permits and complete other documentation.

The family-friendly hotel will have 533 rooms and offer “easy access” to Shinhwa Water Park and a theme park at the resort complex, located on the holiday island of Jeju.

The guest room inventory of the entire Jeju Shinhwa World complex will total over “2,000” units once Shinhwa Resort comes into operation, according to Landing International’s interim report 2018 filed in September. By 2020, the group aims to open a Four Seasons Resort and Spa, with about 200 guest rooms, and a theme park called Lionsgate Movie World.
