Silver Heritage Appoints New Director

Silver Heritage Group, which operates the Millionaire’s Club in the Nepalese capital of Kathmandu. has announced the appointment of Darryl Kaplan as a non-executive director of the company, effective immediately. Silver Heritage also runs Tiger Palace Resort in Bhairahawa.

Asian gaming operator Silver Heritage Group, which operates the Millionaire’s Club in Kathmandu and the Tiger Palace Resort in Bhairahawa, has appointed Darryl Kaplan as a non-executive director of the company, effective immediately.

Kaplan has worked for more than 30 years in the fields of law, corporate finance and investments, with a particular focus on Australia and South Africa. He previously worked as a lawyer at Mallesons Stephen Jaques in Sydney.

In October, Silver Heritage Chairman James Spenceley and non-executive Director Michael Bassett resigned. According to CDC Gaming Reports, the appointment of Kaplan “appears to be an effort to rebuild.”

The Hong Kong-based firm was compelled to cease operations at the Phoenix International Club in Vietnam in March, which had previously produced about 45 percent of its income.

Silver Heritage operates the Millionaire’s Club and Casino in Kathmandu, as well as Nepal’s first IR, the Tiger Palace Resort in Bhairahawa.
