New Year’s Eve party planned

Silver Heritage Group Ltd. will launch casino operations at Tiger Palace Resort Bhairahawa in Nepal before the end of the year, the company reports.

According to Inside Asian Gaming, the Australian-listed company cleared the way for the development after its hotel was awarded a five-star hotel rating by the country’s Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation. Under Nepal law, Silver Heritage has the right to operate casinos in other five-star hotels in the country. The property was inspected on December 14 and 15.

Silver Heritage submitted an application requesting that its licensed casino management company, SHL Management Services Private Ltd. get the OK to operate the casino. SHMK now runs the Millionaire’s Club casino at the Shangri-La Hotel in nearby Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal.

Silver Heritage told IAG it’s planning a New Year’s Eve Party at Tiger Palace that will include “gaming and entertainment.”

“We expect to have the wheels spinning and be open prior to 31 December,” a spokesman said.
