The Silverton Casino Hotel Las Vegas plans to expand the brand into the gaming enclave of Pahrump, about 65 miles west of Las Vegas near the California border.
Silverton Ranch Hotel and Casino, as the project is called, will be located on 7.5 acres the company owns off State Highway 160 at the Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch, according to documents filed with the Pahrump Planning Commission
It will feature a five-story, 125-room hotel, a 30,100-square-foot casino with 250 machine games and five table games, a restaurant, lounge, meetings space and an outdoor entertainment venue. It will employ around 150 people.
Plans call for construction to begin next August 2019, and with its scheduled completion in September 2020, Silverton Ranch will be the sixth full-scale casino in the town of about 39,000, joining the Pahrump Nugget, Gold Town, Lakeside RV Park and Casino, Terrible’s Road House and Saddle West.
“We have current customers and employees of Silverton that live in Pahrump, so we thought it would be fun to build an extension of the Silverton brand there,” said Silverton President Craig Cavileer. “We like the growth of the area and we like the Death Valley (California) component, with the number of tourists and tour buses that pass through.”
