Italy-based Sisal SPA, which operates that country’s SuperEnalotto lottery has published its 12th Sustainability Report in which it aims to the be gaming industry’s “zero problematic players, zero gender pay gap and zero CO2 emissions” company by 2030.
Its “four working pillars” focus on “workforce equality, consumer protections, community responsibilities and environmental duties.”
The company provides more than 20,000 hours of employee training focusing on responsible gaming. It has reduced deposit limits and surveyed 15,000 customers to “to analyze gambling behavior and identify at-risk players.”
Although there is a 12.9 percent pay disparity between the women who make up 39 percent of its workforce, the company is working with Winning Women Institute to forge diversity and inclusion policies.
To reduce its carbon footprint the company has made sustainability part of its long-term strategy. It plans to reduce paper use by 10 percent, CO2 emissions by 30 percent and has committed to getting half of its energy from renewable sources.
