Macau casino concessionaire SJM Holdings Ltd. says it expects its Jai Alai Palace to open sometime next year in the space once occupied by its Casino Jai Alai property, according to Macau Business. SJM says work on the property was delayed for more than a year pending Macau government approvals.

In an interim filing on June 30, the company stated that the renovation project has cost about HKD655 million (US$84.5 million). According to a note from investment management firm Sanford Bernstein, the property will probably get 45 gaming tables, all for mass-market players.
