SJM’s Jai Alai Hotel Opens

Macau casino operator SJM Holdings Ltd. has opened its Jai Alai Hotel (l.) overlooking the Outer Harbor reservoir in Zape. The company described the new hotel as “customer-centric,” offering Chinese and Western cuisine.

Macau casino operator opened its Jai Alai Hotel in Zape on November 15. According to a statement from the company, among the hotel’s advantages is its “prime location in the Outer Harbor district with direct connection to the Macau Ferry Terminal, only within a few minutes’ walk to the Outer Harbor Ferry Terminal.”

The statement described the new hotel as “customer-centric” and “crafted with touches of elegance and simplicity in a beautiful setting overlooking the reservoir.” Its restaurant lineup caters to both Chinese and Western tastes, reported the Macau Post Daily. The property also includes a 30,000-square-foot retail district called JA Avenue, which specializes in cosmetics and beauty supplies and opened in April.

Last December, the remodeled casino relaunched with 35 mass gaming tables, according to the firm’s annual report for 2016.

The former Palácio de Pelota Basca also includes a casino and “spaces for art and creative exhibitions,” reported the Asia Gaming Brief.

“Jai Alai Hotel cordially invites everyone to come and enjoy its premium services and extraordinary offerings,” the company stated.
