Last week SkyCity Entertainment Group completed the sale of its SkyCity Darwin casino to U.S.-based gaming and hospitality firm Delaware North. The sale price was AU$188 million (US$134 million). Delaware North has announced it will rename the property Mindil Beach Casino & Resort.
Mindil Beach has “the potential to be Darwin’s premier entertainment venue, which is what appealed to us most about pursuing the opportunity to add it to our portfolio of gaming and hospitality venues in the region,” said Delaware North Managing Director Gary Brown.
