Slane Named Southern Gaming Summit Speaker

American Gaming Association Senior Vice President of Public Affairs Sara Slane will be a keynote speaker at the 2019 Southern Gaming Conference, May 7-9 at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi. Mississippi Gaming & Hospitality Association Executive Director Larry Gregory said, “We’re very excited that Ms. Slane will be attending our conference as a keynote speaker. As our industry’s foremost expert on sports betting, she brings insights and knowledge that will interest and benefit all of our attendees.”

Slane is recognized as a key industry strategist and spokesperson who has helped enhance the reputation of the gaming industry among regulators, legislators, the media and the public. Last year she oversaw the AGA’s most important advocacy victory–its campaign to repeal the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act. Slane’s and the AGA’s efforts led to the U.S. Supreme Court’s May 14, 2018 ruling to overturn PASPA so states could offer regulated sports betting.

Conference attendees will benefit from attending a wide array of programs, networking with colleagues and learning about industry best practices and the latest technologies, products and services. The event also will present the Global Gaming Women luncheon and the induction of industry leaders into the Mississippi Gaming Hall of Fame.
