Slot Tech Training Sessions Set

Slot Tech magazine has announced the 2017 schedule for its regional slot tech training seminars, designed to prepare students to deal with the most common failures in slot machines.

Slot Tech Magazine has announced a 2017 class schedule for regional slot technician training. Seven regional classes are planned at locations across the United States.

“My goal here is to hold these regional slot tech classes where folks can attend a class that is within driving distance,” said Randy Fromm, publisher of Slot Tech. “It will really save a ton of money on transportation, especially since most properties send two or three (or more) students to each class and everyone could ride in a single vehicle

“I used Google Earth to map out a 400-mile radius around our major concentrations of casinos across the U.S. I figure that 400 miles is about the maximum you want to drive in a single day.”

This is a “bench tech” class that concentrates on repairing the two most common failures in slot machines, power supplies and LCD monitors.

“It’s really pretty easy to repair most power supplies and monitors,” said Fromm. “This class requires no previous experience with electronics.”

Classes are scheduled as follows:

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma—March 14-17

Seattle, Washington—April 11-14

Sands Casino, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania—June 13-16

Albuquerque, New Mexico—July 11-14

Las Vegas, Nevada—September 26-29

Chicago, Illinois—November 6-9

New Orleans, Louisiana—December 6-8

(Locations TBA and subject to change.)
