Slovakia Adds to Online Gambling Blacklist

Slovakia has added six online gambling sites to the country’s blacklist. The list, launched just last month, now has 16 operators.

Slovaia has added more names to its blacklist of online gambling sites bringing the list—which launched last month—to 16 names.

The list is an attempt to block illegal gambling by unauthorized operators in the country and all 16 companies have operated illegally there, the country’s government said. Operators

The list initially includes bet365, William Hill, Bwin, 888 Holdings, Bet-at-Home and 1xbet.

Local media reports say authorities will order the blocked operators to shut down their websites within 10 days, or they will seek a court order to shut down the sites. Operators that don’t follow the court order will face a financial penalty of up to €500,000.
