Slovakia’s Finance Ministry has issued a blacklist of unlicensed online gambling sites that it intends to block ion the country.
Among the 10 sites listed are William Hill, bet365, 888Holdings, Bwin, Bet-at-Home and 1xbet. Five other operators have received warning notices and given 10 days to officially close their services in the country.
The Ministry will seek special court orders to block the sites. Sites that continue accepting bets from Slovakia could be fined up to €500,000. The country has passed new online gaming regulations requiring licensing and charging about 27 percent tax on gross gaming revenue.
