The glitzy new SLS Las Vegas, which opened to the public August 23 on the site of the former Sahara, closed its buffet restaurant on Sunday. New SLS President Scott Kreeger, who recently arrived from the failed Revel project in Atlantic City, said the buffet was “doing OK, but not hitting out of the park.”
Kreeger, who replaced former President Rob Oseland last month, said the buffet will reopen next year. In the meantime, “We’re working with Culinary Local 226 to help place the workers,” Kreeger said. Some will be laid off, but he would not specify how many.
