Northern Cheyenne tribal member Vernon Small recently was named acting gaming manager for the Charging Horse Casino in Lame Deer, Montana on the tribal reservation. Appointed on April 27, Small will serve in the position until it is filled permanently; he expected to be a candidate for the permanent job. He replaces Lori Limberhand, the veteran gaming manager who recently was terminated.

For the past two years, Small has served as chairman of the Tribal Gaming Commission. Formerly he served on the Tribal Council from 2010-2014, representing the Lame Deer District.

“I will have an open door policy, be out on the floor, not just holed up in the office, to hear what our gaming customers have to say. Our most important obligation is to the gaming customers. We want to make sure that they have a positive and enjoyable experience while at Charging Horse,” Small said.
