Starting January 11, all casino customers in South Korea, including at the Daegu Casino (l.), were required to show proof that they have been vaccinated against Covid-19 or show a current negative test result.

South Korean Casinos Now Require Vaccine Proof

As of January 11, all casinos in South Korea were required to ask customers for proof that they have been vaccinated against Covid-19 or display a valid test result, taken within 48 hours. showing they were free of the virus.

The rule applies until further notice for foreigner-only venues. Proof of a booster shot is also required if the customer had his or her initial vaccination more than six months before.

Casinos now open on the island are Jeju Shinhwa World’s Landing Casino, run by Landing International Development; Jeju Dream Tower Casino, operated by Lotte Tour Development; and Paradise Jeju, run by Paradise Co Ltd.

Kangwon Land, the only South Korean casino open to locals, has separate arrangements, reported GGRAsia. It also requires proof of vaccination or a valid negative test but that protocol is only guaranteed until February 6.

Daegu Casino, run by Golden Crown Ltd. at Hotel Inter Burgo in Daegu, a city in the southeast of the country, has been given until January 26 to comply with the new rule.
