Spain Tightens Money Laundering Rules

Spanish online gambling operators have been notified by the country’s government of tighter money-laundering rules.

Spanish online gambling sites will have to adhere to new anti-money laundering rules from the Spanish government.

The sites will have to verify the identity of any player receiving a pay-out of more than 2,500 euros and institutes measures to check up on repeated winners to better uncover suspicious player activity.

The sites must conduct external annual audits to ensure compliance.
