Bridge may be part of the final plan
Last monththe architect of a planned multibillion-dollar integrated resort on Australia’s Gold Coast revealed new details about the project.
Blight Rayner Architecture disclosed that the five-hectare (12.3-acre) waterfront resort will include a casino, hotels and residential towers on the Southern Spit between Sea World and the Gold Coast Fisherman’s Co-operative.The complex will also include a 1,200-seat amphitheater, beach club, marina and possibly a new bridge to Southport, reported Architecture and Design.
ASF Director Louis Chien says the project represents a $3 billion investment that will create up to 10,000 jobs and attract an estimated 1.5 million more tourists to the Gold Coast each year.
Casino News Daily has reported that the resort will target elite Chinese patrons and high rollers. Construction is likely to begin by March.
