Sportech Partners with LOT.TO

Betting technology provider Sportech announced a strategic partnership with online lottery provider Lot.to Systems. The company also revealed that negotiations are also underway for Sportech to acquire the lottery provider.

UK-based Sportech is seeking to acquire online lottery provider Lot.to Systems and has announced a new partnership agreement with the company as negotiations continue.

Officials said the partnership will provide the company’s mutual clients a broader suite of gaming opportunities and that any acquisition is likely to be non-material.

“The global gambling market is estimated to reach an annual turnover of US$635bn by 2020, with the lottery sector accounting for about 30 per cent of that,” said Richard McGuire, executive chairman of Sportech. “Our strategic alliance with LOT.TO will enhance our existing successful core lottery product and will help us to capitalize on the worldwide growth of lottery and lottery-style games and reach an ever-expanding digital audience. For worldwide appeal, no other gambling product comes close to lotteries.
