Sportradar has chalked up another deal, this one with Dish Network to provide sports data. The agreement taps Sportradar analytic technology to run the Dish Game Finder app, which offers customers box scores and other updates of live games.
The contract covers data for a variety of major sports leagues, including the National Basketball Association, Major League Baseball, and National Hockey League, said Twin Cities Business.
“Dish is a well-respected leader in the pay-TV space and has been a mainstay for consumers for nearly 40 years,” said Brian Josephs, vice president of digital sport at Sportradar, in a press release. “We look forward to providing fresh and enhanced sports data experiences for its loyal customers.”
Sportradar has secured a number of partnerships this year. The company, based in Switzerland with U.S. operations out of Minneapolis, scored a multi-year contract with Major League Baseball in February to be the exclusive data distributor for sports betting operators in the U.S. Sportradar also added to its tech power with an agreement to plug its data through interactive content provider, Arkadium’s InHabit product. Arkadium will convert data into visuals for media outlets.
And last week, Sportradar partnered with football media platform Onefootball to add a data component to the game viewing.
