Sports Betting Startup Bet.Works Receives GLI Nod

Startup sports betting platform supplier Bet.Works has received hardware and software certifications from Gaming Laboratories International.

Sports-betting startup Bet.Works, a supplier of sports betting platforms, announced that it has received hardware and software certifications from Gaming Laboratories International.

Bet.Works announced that GLI certified its platform under two separate standards. The company is one of the first suppliers to receive GLI-33 and GLI-19 certifications simultaneously.

“This GLI certification verifies that Bet.Works complies with GLI-19 and GLI-33 technical standards, thus allowing Bet.Works to pursue second phase product approvals with regulatory licensing jurisdictions that require their own proprietary product certification or jurisdictional internal lab testing,” said Bet.Works CEO David Wang.

“We feel strongly that acquiring this certification will expedite our licensing process in many jurisdictions that will be legalizing sports betting in the United States and look forward to working with business partners and regulators in that regard.”

Bet.Works added a young and decorated industry executive to its roster. Dr. Laila Mintas left her role as the US deputy president for Sportradar to chair the company’s board of advisors.

“Today marks another significant milestone for our company,” said Dr. Laila Mintas, who recently joined the company as chairwoman of the Board of Advisors, according to Legal Sports Report. “We will have more announcements in the coming weeks that will reinforce to the gaming community that Bet.Works will be a major U.S. player for years to come.”
