Station Expanding Into Social Gaming

Station Casinos is partnering with online innovator GAN on the launch of free-play online and remote gaming for members of its Boarding Pass loyalty program. Simulated Gaming, as the GAN platform is known, has been gathering momentum ever since it was debuted in 2014 specifically for U.S. land-based casinos.

Station Casinos is teaming up with GAN, one of Europe’s leading developers of internet gaming software, services and content, to launch a social gaming platform on Station’s myBoardingPass players rewards program.

The platform will be based on a GAN package of technologies known as Simulated Gaming, which the company designed to provide the U.S. land-based market with a play-for-free combination of more than 200 slots, traditional table games, slots and tables tournaments and multiplayer versions of poker, backgammon, gin rummy and poker dice, all available online or via customers’ phones.

“We are committed to continuously enhancing and responding to the preferences of our guests,” said Station Executive Vice President Staci Alonso. “By integrating this product with our award winning Boarding Pass, our guests can earn points, prizes and enjoy a Station Casinos experience whenever and wherever they prefer.”

GAN Chief Executive Dermot Smurfit said the platform “is anticipated to result in higher levels of patron loyalty, increased patron visitation on-property and reactivation on-property of long term lapsed patrons”.

Simulated Gaming was launched in the U.S. in 2014 and is deployed currently in seven casinos. It’s scheduled to become operational in Station’s casinos beginning next year.
