STATS Introduces Fantasy Sports Tools

Sports data and insight/analysis operator STATS has introduced fantasy sports-based tools to its media clients. Starting with Major League Baseball, the products are tied to the fantasy scoring systems used at FanDuel and DraftKings.

Sports data and insight/analysis operator STATS has introduced a new product for the fantasy sports industry.

Starting with Major League Baseball and expanding into other sports later this year, STATS is introducing a package of daily fantasy tools to its media clients, including projections for every player that will enable value plays, optimal lineups and player rankings, the company said in a press release.

The projections are tied to the scoring and player values of FanDuel and DraftKings, the two leading providers of daily fantasy contests, the company said. Daily fantasy projections for the NFL, NBA, NHL, NCAA football and basketball and soccer will be launched throughout the year

“Broadcast, digital and print media are all focused on the explosion of daily fantasy sports and need content to support their audience,” said Bill Squadron, Executive VP of Pro Analytics at STATS. “We’ve combined Bloomberg Sports technology and analytics with STATS’ rich content and powerful data engines to provide the most accurate daily player projections to our customers.”

STATS will further introduce a new predictive analytics offering for this year’s NCAA men’s basketball tournament, the company said.
