Governor Jay Inslee has reappointed Washington Gambling Commission chairman Chris Stearns to another term on the commission after first appointing him in May of 2013 to fill a position created by a resignation.
“It is a true privilege to continue serving as a Commissioner. Gambling continues to be a hot topic and I look forward to following the evolving technology that goes along with gambling,” said Stearns, who was elected chairman of the panel last November.
Stearns is a native of the Navajo Nation and as an attorney specializes in Indian law. He was the first to fill the post of Director of Indian Affairs for the U.S. Energy Department.
