Stevens to Deliver ICE Keynote

National Indian Gaming Association Chairman Ernest Stevens Jr. will deliver a keynote address at the ICE Totally Gaming trade show.

Ernest Stevens Jr., chairman of the National Indian Gaming Association (NIGA), will deliver a keynote address on U.S. tribal gaming at next week’s ICE Totally Gaming trade show in London.

Stevens will deliver a keynote prior to a tribal gaming seminar titled “U.S. Indian Gaming: The $28 Billion Industry,” on Tuesday, February 3. In the address, Stevens will highlight the history and impact of Indian gaming in the U.S., and how it expanded into a multibillion-dollar industry.

“Tribal gaming is a vital aspect of the U.S. gaming landscape, which is why understanding how tribal sovereignty influences the decisions made by tribal governments, gaming commissions and casinos is now an essential part of doing business in North America,” said Ewa Bakun, head of content for ICE. “We have developed the tribal gaming seminar to help gaming industry professionals from throughout the world navigate the intricacies of doing business with the tribal community. Ernie Steven has been head of NIGA for over 14 years, and his session will give visitors a unique insight into tribal gaming culture.”

The seminar, titled “Tribal Gaming: U.S. Indian Country Open for Business,” was organized in partnership with Pachanga.net owner Victor Rocha. It includes a full day of discussions on the history, emotions, sovereignty and commercial realities—including online gaming prospects—of Native American gaming in the U.S.

Tribal Gaming is one of ICE Totally gaming’s lineup of free seminars.
