Still No Stats for Arizona Sportsbook Rollout

Despite launching sports betting in early September, including the SolSports book at Casino Del Sol (l.), the Arizona Department of Gaming hasn’t yet released any revenue figures for the first month of wagering. ADG is says it wants to ensure “all is good to go.”

Still No Stats for Arizona Sportsbook Rollout

Although Arizona launched its sports betting on September 9 there are still no revenue reports from the Arizona Department of Gaming.

The state successfully launched in time for the NFL season but the ADG is still not saying when it will release information on how successful that rollout was.

ADG Spokesman Maxwell Hartgraves replied to a question this week: “It comes down to the fact that this is a new industry for the state,” adding, “Not only for us, but for operators as well. That said, we want to ensure all is good to go so there are not any issues down the line.”

This compares to two other states that launched sports betting in September: South Dakota and Wyoming, which released revenue reports the following month.

The state, which has the fifth largest city in the country, Phoenix, and a robust sports market, generated high expectations.
