Strike Averted At Ontario Casino

A strike was averted at Casino Rama (l.) in Ontario, Canada after nearly three-quarters of the 1,400 members of Unifor Local 1090 voted for a new 3-year agreement with operators Gateway Casinos. The deal brings Casino Rama wages equal to other Gateway-managed casinos and features an improved pension plan and guaranteed hours for part-time union members.
