The Swedish Gambling Authority, Lotteriinspektionen, has appointed psychologist Håkan Wall as a replacement for deputy chairman Per Blinder, associate professor of social anthropology at the University of Gothenburg, on its board of directors.
Wall will join five other directors, including the organization’s director general Håkan Hallstedt, Carina Tolke, Henrik Berggren, Britta Ahnmé Kågerman and Karin Starrin on the board, which is chaired by Per Håkansson.
Wall currently works in the Research Centre for Pyschosocial Health at the Swedish Centre for Psychiatric Research, which works alongside the country’s medical university, Karolinska Institutet, to treat problem gamblers and help their families.
