PlayCherry, a subsidiary of the Swedish gaming operator Cherry, recently received a local UK license for gaming operators from the UK Gambling Commission. As a result, several of the company’s iGaming brands will be available throughout the entire UK market. The license covers both casino and sports betting.
Cherry iGaming initially will use the UK license for its flagship brand, CherryCasino.com, as well as the recently re-launched white label EuroSlots.com. Cherry iGaming’s popular brand Sunmaker.com also will be promoted within the UK.
Cherry iGaming already holds gaming licenses in Malta, Curacao and Schleswig-Holstein. Company officials expect locally deregulated market profitability will increase in the next few years.
Cherry IGaming Chief Executive Officer Jonas Wåhlander said, “This is an additional step in the evolvement of Cherry iGaming. Through a wide offering we will have a brand for every key customer segment in the UK market, encompassing all types of products to engage with them. With the current presence and insight we have, combined with ComeOn’s experience, we expect a positive entry into the market and are excited about the potential of this very important market.”
