The 0 million expansion at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tampa recently was unveiled with a ceremonial guitar smashing. Started in 2015, the project created several hundred additional construction jobs and full-time casino jobs. Hard Rock International Chairman Jim Allen said, “Frankly the intricacy and high level of finishes in this design rivals anything, not just here in the state of Florida, but frankly not just in Las Vegas but even seeing some of the new casinos in Macau and Singapore.”
Among the highlights are:
• A new 26,000 square foot mezzanine level casino with a luxurious Art Deco-inspired design–including 14,000 square feet of Italian marble–offers 500 new slot machines and 15 table games.
• A new smoke-free gaming area on the ground floor with more than 850 new slots, including one featuring Michael Jackson’s greatest hits, has more than 20 big screen televisions and a dedicated Uber drop off and pick up area.
• A non-smoking poker room offers 46 tables with a high-limit lounge including two VIP tables, a bar and snack bar and 40 televisions.
• The new 700-space Orient Road garage offers a walkway for guests to take a self-guided memorabilia “rock walk” tour, with more than 100 of Seminole Hard Rock Tampa’s prized memorabilia pieces, including new items from Beyoncé, Carrie Underwood, Stevie Nicks, Bon Jovi, Nicki Minaj and more.
• A reopened surface lot with 500 parking spaces plus the Orient Road garage’s 700 spaces increased overall parking capacity to more than 5,000 spaces.
Seminole Hard Rock Tampa President Joe Lupo said, “This is certainly an exciting day for our property. We’re ecstatic that we now have these terrific venues to offer our guests which ultimately enhances their experience.”
