The Tao Asian Bistro at the Venetian in Las Vegas took top honors as the nation’s best restaurant in a poll published by Restaurant Business Online.
The Tao Asian Bistro topped the survey for a second straight year, and was number one with $47 million in gross food and beverages sales in 2014.
The restaurant was among 15 in Las Vegas identified among the nation’s best, with nine of them being steakhouses, and many being affiliated with famous chef’s, like Mario Batali, Wolfgang Puck, and Emeril Lagasse.
The Tao Asian Bistro’s sister restaurant, Tao Downtown in New York City, took the second spot with $38 million in sales.
Carmine’s in Manhattan, which is located in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, ranked fifth with $30 million in sales. Others named to the top list are Lavo at Palazzo; Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab; Mario Batali’s Carmevino; Steve Wynn’s SW Steakhouse; and Jean-George’s Prime Steakhouse.
Others are Mon Ami Gabi; Top of the World; Craftsteak; Jean George’s Steakhouse at Aria; Delmonico; N9NE Steakhouse; Spago; Bartolotta; and Fix.
