TBE Architects’ Linda Roe Retires

After more than 50 years of working with architectural firms and serving clients in the gaming industry, Linda J. Roe has retired from her role as vice president of client development at TBE Architects.

After a career in architecture spanning more than 50 years, Linda J. Roe has announced that she will retire from her position as vice president of client development at TBE Architects

According to a statement from TBE, “Our dear friend and colleague decided that she is ready to move on to the next phase of life, spending more time with her grandchildren and exploring personal interests.

Roe has been instrumental in establishing and maintaining client relationships for the firm, especially those in the gaming industry. In 1999, Barry Thalden, one of the firm’s founding partners, sought her help to establish TBE’s reputation throughout the hospitality industry, with an emphasis on Indian Country. On several occasions, he identified Roe as “the voice of our firm.” In, 2008 she received the Great Women of Gaming “Proven Leader” Award.

The statement said, “Linda took interest in knowing and befriending everyone she met, remembering names and sending personalized cards to countless individuals. Her persistent kindness and devotion to building long-term relationships opened doors wherever she went.

“Under her guiding influence, TBE Architects has been privileged to design for world-class properties like, Buffalo Thunder Resort & Casino in New Mexico, Wildhorse Resort & Casino in Oregon, Morongo Casino Resort & Spa in California, Harrah’s Ak-Chin in Arizona, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino-Tulsa in Oklahoma, and many more throughout the United States and Canada.”

Since joining the team at TBE Architects, Roe has become a passionate spokesperson for Indian Country. Her years of associate membership in the National Indian Gaming Association (NIGA) includes numerous legislative visits to Capitol Hill, lobbying on behalf of tribes for tribal sovereignty. Roe has also maintained associate membership with the California Nations Indian Gaming Association (CNIGA), the Arizona Indian Gaming Association (AIGA), and Oklahoma Indian Gaming Association (OIGA).

You are a shining example of kindness and dedication. Your presence will be missed at countless trade shows and client meetings, and we sincerely wish you the very best of health, happiness, and joy throughout the coming years.
