TBE Architects wraps up Phase One of the final phase of a planned $300 million redevelopment at the J Resort in Reno, NV and announces their $95 million expansion design with the Three Affiliated Tribes’ 4 Bears Casino & Lodge.
Reno’s Neon Line District is abuzz as Phase One of the all new J Resort, formerly the Sands Regency Casino Hotel, redevelopment wraps up. Due for completion in June, Phase One will include:
- 750 Remodeled Guest Rooms
- A Complete Overhaul of the Casino Floor with 600 New Gaming Positions
- 1,000 Surface Parking Spaces
- 2 New Food & Beverage Experiences, J Paul’s Italian Steakhouse and Hanna’s Table, to Include an Outdoor Dining Area
- The Afterglow Lounge
In addition, the J Resort will feature America’s first 24/7 outdoor digital art wall that spans 65 by 65 feet on the exterior wall! The revitalized casino anchors the Reno Neon Line, a half-mile-long art and entertainment district with breathtaking sculptures and festival grounds for up to 6,000 party-goers.
There has been such a high interest in this dazzling project that Jacobs Entertainment officials have decided to open half of the casino floor and 500 of the new guest rooms effective immediately! This project has been years in the making as the architectural and interior design teams at TBE Architects have worked to develop and refine the overall vision for this iconic property.

Looking to the North Dakota, TBE Architects is also pleased to reveal their partnership with the Three Affiliate Tribes of the Fort Berthold Reservation. An impressive $95 million hotel expansion is in the works at the 4 Bears Casino & Lodge in New Town, ND.
Having worked with 121 Tribes and First Nations, TBE is honored to be the architect of record for this project to enhance this property’s hospitality offering. The 4 Bears Casino & Lodge project will replace the existing two-story lodge with a seven-story tower. As a beacon of light on the North Dakota plains, the structure’s architectural facade will be outlined with L.E.D. lights. Other exciting amenities include:
- New tribally themed lobby and porte cochere
- Improved visual connection from the hotel to the casino floor
- 90 new guest rooms with 14 suites
